VACATION-Tuesday April 27::Day 3

Today before heading out to the Texas State Aquarium we stopped by Moby Dicks for breakfast. They do have some goooood breakfast tacos!

We left there and made our way to Corpus Christi to the aquarium. We've been several times, but it's still nice to go check out the sharks, fish, dolphins, turtles and etc! We didn't get to see the dolphin show. We arrived too late for the morning show and too early for the late afternoon one. But that was ok, we have seen it a couple times before. Hunt did get to pet a 2 year old baby alligator that an aquarium worker was doing a presentation on. It wasn't that much larger than the 1year old one he got to pet at Buc Days. We found out that because they are in captivity that they don't grow as large as ones out in the wild...they are kept on a certain diet. Seeing all the aquariums and fish makes me want an aquarium here at home. We have looked at them for several years(since before Hunt was 2) , but never decided on getting one.

After the aquarium Bubba, Hubs and Ken decided to tour the USS Lexington. It's right next to the aquarium. Kelley and I had been in the past and to tell you the truth it really isn't for the girls...or at least us...HA! So we let the guys go and the three of us girls went shopping at a few gift shops around there. I found an adorable little glass mermaid ornament. It is the cutiest!!! Maybe I'll remember to post a photo of it around Christmas time for you all to see...HAHAHA...that's a long way away though, huh? Miracles could happen and I could remember!

When the guys were done we meet up with them and left. We were all getting hungry and decide to go to Doc's. It's a seafood place(shock right) that's pretty good. We tried it last trip to the coast and it was good, so we decided to try it again. And it WAS still tasty!

Another nice day at Port "A" and Corpus!!!

This Week...on Tuesday, instead of storytime we went with our KECPTA group to the Keller Police Station for a tour. The kids liked it alot! We saw most of the areas at the station...the briefing room, dispatch, evidence area and evidence lockers, where the detectives desks are, etc... but didn't get to look at the jail except through a camera in the dispatch room. There was one inmate there in a cell and I'm sure that wouldn't have been a nice thing to remember!...for the inmate, not the kids...HAHAHA...with all these loud kids asking questions and yelling and screaming! Then again, that might be a good punishment!!!
One officer came out and gave all the kids his officer trading card and a SWAT team trading card.
Then it was off to check out the police car! The kiddos enjoyed climbing all through it! Thanks Keller Police Department for the tour and your patience!!!

Wednesday was Hunt's last day of school!!! Wow did it ever go by fast! We go back Friday evening for his graduation. I can't even believe that next year he will be going to Kindergarten!!! Didn't I just birth you?!...HAHA!!! I do hope he "grows" up some over the summer. He still needs to learn how to keep his hands to him self and listen better!
Here are a few last day photos I took...

{When I picked him up there from school for the last time...}

They didn't have any kind of party, so this was all that I took. I'll post his gradutaion ones next week sometime.

Yesterday was our KECPTA meeting. It was the last one until it gets closer to the starting of school and fall. Hunt enjoyed playing with some of his friends there today. I'm sure we'll be seeing some friends this summer because there are lots of activities that are planned that I want to take Hunt to.

Mrs. Black was not at class on Wednesday, so the kids practiced with Mr. Oscar and Mrs. Black's daughter Jessica. I put Em's swim suit on her Wednesday and yesterday to let her splash in the hot tub. The hot tub isn't hot, just the temp of the pool. I couldn't get a photo of her in there because I was holding her of course. Yesterday was Hunt's last day of the 2 week session. Mrs.Black said that she has other classes available so I'll be giving her a call to see what she has. The kids all have been doing so well! They've been learning prone, prone glide, kicking, arm movments and how to take breaths. The last thing they learned was water saftey. Hence the photo of Hunt holding the water noodle and pulling the teacher.

After swimming yesterday we came home, ate a quick dinner and started making our homemade applesauce. Since tomorrow is Hunt's gradutation from pre-school we decided to fix up a jar for his teachers. It was fun and easy to make the applesauce and VERY kid friendly!!! The recipe did come from a kid's cookbook. The only problem I had was keeping the apple pieces that Hunt cut in the bowl and not his little mouth!HAHAHA!!!
Here's some photos I took of the fun!...

Also, Grandpa had surgery today and every thing turned out fine! YAY!!! Hope you're feeling better soon Papa! Hunt made him a Get Well card and another card for a future day.

Guess that will do it for this post...
