Well, it's catch up time again...
So we are doing more back tracking. Back tracking to Christmas time again and December activities.
And in an attempt to get this all in here and done, it's kind of just thrown together.
Some craft we did were these adorable hand print angels! I snagged the idea from another blog I read called Mandi Shandi. Hunt made his and I helped Emma with her's.
I dot painted this alphabet puzzle for cousin Mick.
I managed to finish these two tassel gifts for friends. SUPER easy and very cute!
Here's Hunt working on Grandma and Grandpa's clip boards with decoupage. It was really messy, especially with a 4 year old, so it may be a while before we venture into doing a decoupage craft again.
Hunt cutting the strips for our paper ornaments.
The finished ones.
Hunt made some ornaments for friends and family using glass ornaments. We needed the the clear glass type, but only found the frosted glass ones. Anyway we squirted paint inside and let it run down them. Then added a tag and ribbon...super easy! And cute!
The paper ornaments he made above where fun too. We cute some old Christmas cards into strips and punched holes on both ends. Then ran ribbon and tied them off.
Below is a photo showing the glass one and a tongue depressor Christmas tree one where he glued on buttons. He made one for him and one for little sister
Emma and taggy! I believe she likes it!
Look at this beautiful snow we got on Christmas Eve! Yay for a White Christmas in Texas! It just doesn't happen too often. Because of Christmas get-togethers with family Hunt didn't get to play in the snow or build a snowman! So no good photos of that.
This year we had two advent calendars. Our wooden house one and a chocolate candy one. And I was lucky in the fact that Hunt actually forgot most the days on the chocolate one. The kid really doesn't need candy every day...haha!
Emma's sweater Christmas dress.
And just to be sure that Santa and his reindeer didn't go hungry...cookies, milk and carrots. Santa's cookies were store bought this year(sorry Santa). He got some Mother's iced animals with sprinkles and another sugar cookie type with sprinkles also.
Looks like they weren't too upset! Barely any was left.
One of our many traditions is that the kids get to open 1 gift on Christmas Eve. This gift contains a small book, toy or whatever and new pjs. This year Hunt got GI Joe ones and Emma got red ones that say My First Christmas.
And since I tend to take WAY TOO many pictures, I created a slide show below with some of the photos from Christmas with family and friends. They are in order as this...Christmas Eve at my cousin LeighAnn's, Christmas Morning at home, Christmas Day at Grandma and Grandpa's and then Jan. 2nd with good friends Kelley and Ken's. If you run your mouse over the slide show photos you can read captions if I added one.
