and still more...
CHRISTMAS TREE O CHRISTMAS TREE...
I may be a little old fashion. I still love getting a REAL Christmas tree. I love the experience of picking one out, taking it home, getting it all pretty and enjoying the smell of the pine through the house during the holiday. I know that a lot of families these days have "fake" store bought ones. Which in some ways is good. It's just a family tradition that I hope we continue each year.
Here are some photographs of us picking out our Christmas tree.
So many beautiful ones to choose from.
Hunt taking a look at them.
Running and being silly.
Taking a closer look.
And the winner is...
And off it goes...
Loaded in Daddy's truck and ready to come home with us.
Hunt had a fun time running around the trees and playing with the discarded branches.
The tree arrived home with us and was ready for some decorating. Hunt loves the decorating because he gets to rummage through our ornament boxes and look at everything. He Really Loves It!!! Our ornaments range from new ones just bought this year to very old ones made by Hunt's great great grandmother. We also have a few boxes of old glass Christmas ball ornaments. Of course these go up high enough so that little fingers can't reach them...(ahem). Ever since he could do it, I have let Hunt put ornaments on the tree with me. It's cute to remember back a few years ago when all his ornament hanging was in one area piled on top of one another. I left them that way. It was "his" way of doing them...too cute! Now he does much better, but still needs to be reminded a little to space them out.
The bare canvas(tree).
We strung white lights, wooden red bead garland(cranberries) and the paper chain we made.
And the first ornament to be put on our tree was the hunting blind. Go figure...can you tell Hunt has a daddy who loves to hunt and shares this joy with his son.

I mean honestly...you can't decorate a Christmas tree without your boots on.
Still decorating...
Hunt stops for a quick photo.
Continues decorating.
And now it's complete.
More to come soon...
